Well hello there foodies!

What can we say…..we tried……but in 2020 that nasty Covid and all the other little covid’s seems to have beaten us.....Well for the moment!

For the last couple of months we’ve all attempted to try and change how the Festival would have been able to still take place within the City, creating an event that allowed for social distancing and all the while making sure the main priority was for the safety of our visitors, traders, local businesses and our teams, but after reviewing the Government's guidelines on Friday 31st July about mass gatherings and the increase in confirmed cases, we’ve had no alternative but to make the hardest decision ever and postpone the 2020 Lichfield Food Festival.

We know how much this Festival means to you, I mean 176,000 visitor’s in 2019 can’t be wrong! (Maybe that’s why we’re called the City of Festivals!) but don’t you worry we’ll be back to deliver another award winning show stopper before you know it! Plans are already being worked on as we speak!

We have to say a special thank you to the various teams within Lichfield District Council, the Leader of the Council, Councillor Doug Pullen, Councillor Iain Eadie, Councillor Ashley Yeates, Lichfield BID, Lichfield Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Lichfield Cathedral, the Management Team within Three Spires and local businesses for all the support and guidance as we have gone through 2020 - We are so lucky to have this resource and support. We have all pulled together for this City and will continue to work closely in the future for everyone's benefit.

Keep an eye out over the next couple of weeks on our social media pages and Food Festival website as we’ll be popping up lists of our traders, links to special offers, cookery demonstrations from local chefs and Bake Off Celebs, local restaurants with special offers and much more!

From everyone here at Cocker Hoop Creative and Lichfield Food Festival thank you, stay safe and we’ll see you soon

Much love
